Trip to New Mexico

We're on our way to New Mexico--Noe's longest trip yet. Taylor and I are going to go to the mountain to ski/ride while Tim & Twilla watch baby girl. I'm super excited to get on my board but anxious about how my postpartum body's going to hold up. We'll see. I've gotten back up to 3miles on my run with the explicit goal of being in shape to ride. I think my endurance and muscle just are nowhere near what they were, so I don't want to get injured. In the meantime, we've stopped at McDonalds three time on the way up there-all before 1pm! Granted, the 1st two times were for coffee and potty breaks, but still disturbing. Noe's fast asleep, but we're still not even to Amarillo. ICk. Long drive!

Chocolate Cravings

Maybe it's because I really can't enjoy a drink without planning it out or feeling somewhat guilty.  Or maybe it's because I really do need more calories.  Or maybe it's hormones.  Or maybe I'm genuinely just being a pig, but I eat so much chocolate every day that it's getting out of control.  For example. today after my sandwich for lunch, I had to have several chocolate covered almonds--convincing myself that the almonds gave them much nutritional value.  Then, after dinner, I made brownies.  While making them, I actually ate more chocolate covered almonds and some chocolate chips (several "dips" into the bag).  I just finished a large helping of warm brownie, and am seriously craving more.  That, folks, is what inspired me to write about my problems with chocolate!

Girls Gone Wild!

I saw this onesie in a boutique in San Francisco years ago.  If it had been open, I would have bought it then, but alas, I was far from having a child at that point, and couldn't justify going back to buy it.  When I got pregnant, I began looking for it on the internet and finally bought it right before Noe was born.  I guess it's a little tacky, but I think it's hilarious!
